Hello friends! Now that winter is in full swing, you probably feel like you don’t want to buy another new sweater or coat. I mean spring is right around the corner, right?! I wanted to share some ways to revamp your current wardrobe to give it a fresh look until our next season. I am always looking for ways to give a certain top or dress a new look!
Let’s start with some really great staples that will allow you to do this!
1. A Denim Jacket
This is a timeless piece that can be worn throughout the seasons and basically never goes out of style. A denim jacket looks cute over a dress, with gym wear, and obviously with any top you own be it long sleeved, short sleeved, or sleeveless! I own a couple of them, neither one is too expensive. I linked a few of them for you below.
2. Wear White Jeans All Year Long
Yes, you heard me correctly! There is no rule about not wearing white jeans all year…the key is how you style them! I recently wore my white jeans with a red sweater and the outfit was a hit! It is all in the way you pull it together. So dust off those white jeans and throw them on with some boots and a sweater.
3. A Bright Colored Scarf
I am one who sticks to wearing a lot of blacks and grays during the winter…I happen to love them so much. After a while, it is good to throw a pop of color into your outfit to brighten it up. A patterned scarf is the perfect way to do this and there are so many affordable ones out there to choose from.
4. Fun Flats
People always ask me if my feet are cold and the answer is usually “yes,” but I love wearing flats all winter long. Plus, remember how I told you that I wear blacks and grays a lot? Putting on a cute patterned flat just adds some excitement to your outfit. In my opinion, flats aren’t reserved for spring and fall only…they are a welcomed wardrobe piece in winter as well!
5. Buy Transitional Pieces
Believe me, I buy things to wear around the holidays like velvet and plaids, but once the holidays are over I try to look at items in my closet that can easily transition into spring. For example, I have this adorable boat neck striped top. In fact, I have it in a few colors and it is pretty lightweight. What I love about it is that I wear it in the winter and throw and extra layer underneath. It gives the outfit a little more depth and keeps me warm at the same time. Then, when spring time arrives, I can ditch the layer and wear this top alone. That is what I mean when I say buy transitional pieces…you can easily wear them in different seasons.
