Hello friends! Its definitely been a while! Thank you for being patient and sticking around. I wanted to chat with you about staying budget friendly when shopping for clothing in the new year. Chances are if you are here, then you love to shop just like me…am I right? I openly admit to having a full on addiction to shopping for clothes. There, now that I have that out in the open, I can move on.  The truth is that even though I love shopping, I am always conscious of what I spend on things and how useful they can be in my closet.

When you go to the grocery store, you make a list of everything that you need...correct? The same should hold true when you shop for clothes.  It will keep you focused and help avoid impulsive purchases.

Try to keep track of your current closet inventory so that you don’t duplicate items. This also enables you to have a handle on what you have already. I can’t tell you how many times I have bought a top and come home with it, only to discover a similar one hanging in my closet.

Make selections that you can wear multiple ways.  This one is huge for me because I love to mix and match!  People ask me where I manage to fit all of my clothes, but I do so much mixing and matching that my wardrobe appears much larger than it really is.

Remember, you don’t always have to go for the splurge!  Acquaint yourself with certain pieces that you may want and see if you can find comparable ones for less.  Sometimes people do not believe me when I tell them that something I am wearing is from Target or another retailer that is really affordable.  As long as clothing fits you well, matches your style, and flatters your body type…then you are good!

That is pretty much my advice in a nutshell.  Thank you for stopping by the blog, friends!  I hope to see you again soon!

XO ~ Noreen
